    :coffee:

It's all the rage with lawyer-type lawsuit commercials these days, promising money and stuff if you're lucky enough to have it. :c

My Dad died of that 5 years ago. Asbestos. They say I have asbestos in my system because my clothes were washed with his work clothes, and I used to sit on his asbestos covered lap when he got home from work. There is little money left to be had, most of the companies that had anything to do with asbestos have gone through bankruptcy reorganization. They put money in a fund, and that money is mostly claimed by the law firms. My Dad got three grand. Almost paid for a coffin.

if I remember i'll get a picture of the sign they hang at the entrances of my buildings on Monday. They basically say there is a shitload of asbestos here and be careful.

    Thanks.

I'm not bitter or anything. We all have to go through our own stuff. I guess it was the lawyers and doctors who made it extra bad.

The doctors cut him up like frankenstein and injected him with all kinds of toxic stuff knowing full well he was doomed. I'm sure they really profited from the treatments. The lawyers took their fees and were never interested in anything but lining their own pockets. (Typical)

    Shit guys... sorry. Tragic stuff.

We purchased a home built in 1910-11 and had to pay big $$ for removal of the asbestos lining on the pipes in the basement.
    It's a very profitable business.
The removal companies have to be licensed by the feds and once they complete the job, the home owner has to pay even moremoney to have the home re-tested to make sure all traces are gone.
Obviously we had to wait for all that stuff to be finished before we could finally move in.

From what I've read since then, the reason so many grand old buildings are still standing in disrepair in the urban areas of St. Louis, Detroit, Memphis, etc is because no one can afford the grand scale clean-up fees associated with asbestos removal.
