I hate when I grab the wrong cans :pissed: There has to be a reason for oil instead of water. What is it? How do it know?

I actually think it tastes better in the oil ,I've grabbed on accident but I'm sure it is more fattening

Tuna in water has a drier texture. Try to find it in olive oil. The oil soaks up the flavor of the tuna. Better all around.

If you're mixing it w mayo, then water is better.
If having it straight w crackers then oil is great

Also, the tuna oil is great to sautee in.

Just some garlic sauteed in that tuna oil, some capers, crushed red pepper and then the tuna and you got yourself a great pasta sauce. Just add some parmesan cheese when serving, if desired. I prefer linguine with this dish.

I couldn't agree more. And all the people that pick up one with oil and then put it on top of the water cans, thus fucking us up... well, fuck you!

If I buy it in water it's by mistake. Tuna packed in water tastes like balsa wood to me.
I have to actually look hard to find it in oil these days- I usually buy the Italian brands or I find regular stuff in oil at Hispanic markets.

Yeah. I eat it as a healthy meal. Having tuna soaked in oil is like salad drowning in dressing. At that point you might as well have a burger.
