Totally agree. Individually the first and second film is in my top 100. In chronological order (The novel for television version), the films are in my top 5.
In all seriousness, two of my favorites:
The Godfather Saga is #1, but this is a close second.
Easy for me, "Purple Rain". Seen it over 30 times. Not just bits and pieces either, from beginning to end. Saw it in the theater when it first came out.
