We all have our routines, in college, I'd stop by the local egg stand and get this concoction called "a cholesterol". It was a bagel, fried on the flat top and constructed into a sandwich with sausage, ham, bacon, eggs and 4 cheeses. Shit was absolutely delicious and an excellent hangover cure. These days, I'm much more frugal. A bagel w/ cream cheese and topped with either bacon bits or shredded pepperoni. It's all about the coffee, too. Two of the "espresso shot" sizes of the keurig espresso blend with lots of cream and lots of sugar. Boom
3-4 egg whites pan fried, with a thin slice of Sargento cheddar and crumbled bacon bits (the real stuff, not the fake one). Egg whites are greatest things on earth. Low-cal, high-protein, and no cholesterol. I happen to love the way they taste when fried, but I know some people find it too bland. You can usually season it with pepper or use hot sauce.
I can't do the egg white thing. I go with the egg beaters when I want scrambled/omelette. I actually buy them in the half gallon size and use it for whenever eggs are called for in a recipe. Love them.
Most of the time, Korean deli down the street. Coffee, once a week a pork roll & cheese w/ mustard, once a week an egg and cheese sandwich w/ varying meat, once a week a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel w/ butter, then I mix it up. Sometimes a snack cake, sometimes a BLT or Turkey Club or Cheesesteak. On Sundays, when the deli is closed, I'll go to Dunkin Donuts for a bran muffin or sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant or I'll make something at home.
Coffee, more coffee, eggs sometimes over easy, sometimes scrambled with cheddar and hot sauce. I make my daughter grilled cheese a lot so I often make an extra for me. going to start my work out routine again soon which means many egg-whites...
I miss being like 15 thru 23, where you could eat a 3-egg, sausage, bacon and cheese sandwich on a white roll every morning for breakfast and go run a few laps within the hour because your metabolism was superhuman. Now, if I eat that even once a week, your body let's you know. Never get old.
On a work day I typically grab a thing of yogurt for breakfast, sometimes I wake up early and then I'll make some eggs and real hash browns made from fresh potatoes. The weekends though are a different story, I eat just about anything.
I'll rise under any circumstances and prepare a decent breakfast for Kid #2, like eggs, sausage, English muffin, tea and then I my or may not eat until much later. If at all. Or pancakes, an omelet, biscuits from scratch on Saturday or Sunday, sometimes I'll drive to the last surviving bagel place and get her some bagels with cream cheese. I like to get salt bagels with salmon flavored cream cheese when I go that route. Insanely satisfying. Actually once she's been deposited @ school, I like to get a large McD's coffee and a couple cheap $1.00 McMuffin McBIscuit type things for my own consumption.
Tylenol and couple bottles of water to re-hydrate. Maybe a piece of fruit depending on what was available at the market. If I have some mango or cranberry juice I'll drink that. I keep at least 3-5 boxes of sugar cereal (for when the kids are around) that I look at but just can't stomach it. I used to love the cream of wheat.
