Since @AbeVigoda @Senator Rick and I hi-jacked the "Favorite Bond Film" thread with Blaxploitation film posts, I thought it would be apropos to start our own thread.

Here are my Top 5 (I couldn't pick one):

    1. Blacula (LA as I remember it from summer trips to visit relatives, good actors in a silly film doing their best)
    2. Truck Turner (GREAT soundtrack from Isaac "Black Moses" Hayes - my parents had that album! Plus AWESOME boobage/rackage from Star Trek's Nichelle "Lt. Uhura," Nichols, among others)
    3. The Mack (Pimptastic! Richard Pryor was an absolute MESS in this film, though. The Player's Picnic was pretty damn awesome. Inspired my man, Oakland-based rapper Too $hort - BIIIIIIIIITCH!)
    4. Black Dynamite (a 2009 comedy spoof of Blaxploitation films that was VERY well done)
    5. Willie Dynamite (because it starred Gordon from Sesame Street as a hardcore NYC pimp!)

Honorable Mention, Foxy Brown - Pam Grier's absolutely gorgeous rack, UNLEASHED!

Howard related because you know he loves the blaeks and their pensises!

Your top 2 are mine as well, Blacula and Truck Turner. I'd also throw in the sequel Scream, Blacula, Scream.

    Oh yeah!
    And Truck Turner.
And a couple of those Dolemite movies.
I never cared for the actor in Blacula.

Damn. I have to think about all of the great Blaxploitation movies I smoked dope through.
There was some impossibly silly shit in those movies.
    Wonderful stuff!

I vote for Willie Dynamite - he has a lot of crazy clothes and his car is outrageous and he stuffs his gun down his pants:

One of the pay channels like Cinemax or The Movie Channel used to show it quite a bit 10 years or so ago.

I like The Mack, but Rudy Ray Moore as Dolemite is tops.
