I like homemade chili. REALLY spicy.
Chili here also. Won a contest last year with the recipe I use.
I use a lot of dried habaneros. Fresh from my garden.
Is chilli soup?
Damn straight it's soup!!
I'd like the spicy chili too!!
2 (29 ounce) cans tomato sauce
2 (28 ounce) cans peeled and diced tomatoes
2 cups diced onion
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 pound bacon, diced
2 pounds spicy sausage
3 pounds lean ground beef
1 (32 ounce) bottle hickory smoke barbeque sauce
1/2 cup chili powder
4 (15.25 ounce) cans kidney beans, undrained
2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, chopped
Imma look it up
Chili isn't soup and just because it's on a bun doesn't make it a fucking burger!
Saved. I may try it someday. I am not really allowed to make chili anymore as the wife can't take the heat.
I never actually follow a recipe, I just play it by ear everytime and it always seems to work out great!
And a tomato is considered a fucking fruit not a fucking vegetable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's soup. :woohoo:
You are correct here.
kinda like a stew
I've heard of people using peanut butter too. Can't imagine that or chocolate. :weird:
Chili is neither a soup nor stew..
Its its own category
What makes stew a stew? Flour?
Is Chili a Soup?
So me and my girlfriend are having a debate over whether chili is a soup or not... and this needs to be brought to an end....So is chili a soup or not? (i think it qualifies)

Chili is a stew because of the cooking method not the appearance so much. You don't bring ot a boil and allow to boil ingredients for a short time and serve. You simmer over longer periods of time before you serve. This is the biggest distinction I have found...read below for more ....
