When you stop listening?
Last show of 2014 just before that big intolerable Howard Stern Anniversary art.
I can't even remember what the party was for.
Just checked the party was Howies 60th birthday in feb 2014 so the last show I heard was last one of 2013
Somewhere in the middle of the ABT rebranding that went nowhere.Counting on his fans to launch into an Ellen-like future was too much for me.Did the wigged homos dreams pan out as planned ?
The current shows, like 2 years ago?
I still listen to the old shows.
Some time ago, a guy on fleabay was trying to sell like 20 years of the radio show. I cant remember how much he was asking but I think it might have been interesting to have every show from say the mid 90s to the Artie years.
Although I'll tell you, trying to listen around the time of the book and then the movie release, its all he would fucking talk about.
The nonstop promotion during those periods made the show almost as shitty as it is today.
2011, when David Arquette would appear on every other show.. I was like
Dave's infectious giggles were"t your cup of tea?
yeah I really can't stand that guy... I came to the conclusion that HS wasn't into it anymore
The fall of 2015. I just couldn't take the bullshit anymore. The edits, the political corectness, the canned bits, the female "comedians", and the fucking non stop cat talk. Somewhere around the Ellen degenerates interview I finally admitted that the show wasn't coming back and shut it off. It hasn't been easy, but artie, gilbert, and a lot of Marijuana has helped.
One year after they started charging extra for having an XM radio in my car. I'm gonna say it was 2012 Adam Levine played don't let me down. That was my last show.
2006, the second year at Sirius. I realized then that Howard wasn't going to do any of the great things he promised that were in his notebook full of ideas. That and the fact that Sirius equipment sucked big time. His show back then wasn't the shitstorm it's become now, but I saw the handwriting on the wall.
2012 or 2013.
i still listen to the odd interview but never the full show any more
although it does seem like the show is getting a little better
October 2013, thank god for podcasts, not sure what I would do if it was a choice between the local morning zoo or howard stern.
I keep hearing this, it's making me want to download one of his more recent shows.
It's a shame as I listened religiously for almost 20 years. The last few years were like watching a close relative slowly die of cancer.
The show still had its moments but was a shell of its former self.
I still listen when I am in my car, but more often than not I find myself changing the channel or switching to my ipod
September 2012. New job changed my listening habits and it was the American talent shit everyday. Plus sirius hardware sucked so bad, this is the main reason why.
