Obvious answer is to hear the songs changed up, unless you're a moron.

Not only the SONGS changed up, but in a perfect world, a DIFFERENT set list EVERY night.

But, I would also like some rehearsal/musicianship.

Here is a good example of what I mean, I'll use Tool in this one.

Here is the album version of the song:

And here it is when they changed the song up on tour:

I go apeshit when the band changes it up, I think it's great.

I saw Metallica touring on the Black album back in the day, they played 2 shows in San Diego, and I went to both.

The shows were the EXACT SAME show, down to the ad libs to drink a beer. I was so bummed out that night.

    Both.

I want note-for-note, with a tasty off-the-rez vamp in the middle.

    Best of both worlds. :grad:

By "changed up"... do you man the singer shouting out <insert city name here> randomly in the song?

Sometimes they also like to ask if people are into getting high, and into sex. Woo!

I think it usually depends on the act. For KISS, I do not want then to stray one fucking note of perfection.

I just want them not to suck, and that's why I can't make it through a Phish show.

Changed up of course. I go to a concert for the show, not the music. If I want to hear the album version then I'll just listen to the album.

As David Spade says, I want to hear the music exactly the way it is on the the album. No tricks!

Same reason I don't want to hear a known comedian trying out new shit.

There are bands I didn't really like to listen to on the radio or CD but loved in concert.

Slight variations or different arrangements are fine.

A 10-15 minute jam on what's a 4 minute recorded song, not good.

Are you really comparing Tool to KISS? They are an obvious KISS ripoff act. They even went with a four letter name and wear makeup on stage.
