Another time where people cry and cry and cry about how the Constitution needs to be followed

Oh, but if they don't like someone? Just screw the Constitution anyway.......the Founders didn't mean to keep people that they don't like

But in other areas....STRICTLY READ THE CONSTITUTION! Just not when we don't like it!

[h=1]White House is wrong: First Amendment doesn’t protect Piers Morgan from deportation[/h]
    http://dailycaller.com/2013/01/09/w...doesnt-protect-piers-morgan-from-deportation/

However, as the Daily Caller reported in December, the First Amendment does not protect Morgan from possible deportation in this case.
Wall Street Journal columnist James Taranto explained on Twitter December 22 the legal precedent that prevents Morgan from citing the First Amendment to protect his status in the United States:
“Your opinion is protected, your presence in the U.S. is not. See Kleindienst v. Mandel (1972),” Taranto replied to Morgan.
Taranto linked to transcripts from a 1972 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that the U.S. Attorney General’s refusal to allow a foreign journalist into the United States did not violate the First Amendment. The case resulted from Nixon administration attorney general Richard Kleindienst’s refusal to grant a temporary nonimmigrant visa to Marxist Belgian journalist Ernest Mandel.

That Piers shithead is not even a US citizen. He should just go to that shithole of an island so they can arrest his ass for illegally spying on people.

Well, your speech is protected while on American soil.
This is why "enemy combatants" were shipped to foreign soil (a practice known as rendition), where the U.S. Constitution is out the muthafuckin' window!

Uh-huh. Protected speech does not include yelling "fire" in a crowded theater or publicly advocating the removal of fundamental American rights.

You'll notice most politicians carefully talking about "gun violence" or "gun control" while Morgan is out and out calling for a repeal of the 2nd Amendment Big difference.

Which is especially hilarious, considering before an amendment takes place, the legislature has to reach 2/3 consensus and then 3/4 of the people must vote for it.

That's just never gonna fucking happen and it's really what makes Piers look like a drooling asshat. Sometimes it's funny to listen to him because the more he talks the deeper he shoves that foot in his mouth.

There's always the extra variable of Executive Order and all the rest will be moot.

We don't punish people for having an opinion. This isn't Hitler's Germany or Stalin's Russia.

If some French dude comes here and denounces Obama, do we arrest him or depart him? No.

free speech most expressly covers advocating change, even if that change involves calling for changes to the constitution or bill of rights.

Piers Morgan calling for Americans to demand changes to the 2nd Amendment is exactly what the first amendment is designed to protect.

what is not protected is conspiring to overthrow the government, but merely talking about change is not the same thing as conspiring to start a revolution.

Robin Williams 'Coming to America' (or was it Moscow on the Hudson?) said it better: "Dis is New York City, in the United States of America where everybody has the right to not do nuthin he don't want to do."
