I have to go with Van Gogh. He was a crazy mofo, only sold one painting during his life and his works are worth $100s of millions.

But I also like some of the masters that painted portraits that look like pictures too.

One time in kollege I wrote a paper on Dali and they recommended me for the MFA program in art history.

I had a friend that was an art major. We went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was great to see all the work from the masters worth over billions of dollars combined. Monet, Rembrant, Renoir, Picasso, etc.

They were having a Dali exhibit, so a whole room was his work.

On a field trip to the J Paul Getty museum, in high school, I crossed over the ropes and touched this Rembrandt painting just cuz I could.
Got booted out and me and a buddy walked around and smoked joints til our ride came out

I like Rothko, too, although sometimes I go, "He's just painting squares of different colors."

When I was at the Met Museum I touched billions of dollars worth of artwork. From all the masters. I almost flicked off some paint off of a Van Gogh's painting. The guards were not around, there were a few in between room, but I would tell my friend look at the brush strokes, and I would motion and touch the art. :ll:

I had to do a paper and 10 minute presentation on him for an art history class. It was so hard trying to talk about colored squares for 10 minutes.
