I think it's so funny but can't find any discussions on their show
Opie and jimmy
I definitely listen when the show is on Vacation or not on, which means basically every day of most weeks.
I listen. I miss Ant with them so much. I listen to his show also.
As bad as losing Ant was that show does have such a long, rich history. I don't know if Opie and Jimmy starting up would work but carrying on with what they had is working at least till now.
Not great without Anthony. But they did some bits about the brady bunch guy and it was very funny. too much rich vos. looks like sirius is positioning them and they are allowing other talent to do shows on that channel.... I prefer Jay Thomas in the afternooon indie.
The @stuttering john melendez segment was the best segment they've had since Anthony was fired IMHO.
John OWNED that studio and the only one willing to dish dirt and ask hard questions about Plughead and the O&A estrangement off air.
Anthony? He's around.
PERFECT use "he's around"! I think Opie may have even said that once??? @JessOnCrack esque
Yeah stuttering john was great with them.
Vintage Mimi chiming and swooping in like Elektra from a Hell's Kitchen rooftop.
There isn't much comedy with anymore Opie and Jim. It is like an NPR show with a couple of Jim Norton jokes thrown in. Both of them are more serious then ever, and even their comic friends are more neutered.
But it's still better than nothing/Howard.
I listen. What do you want to talk about?
Yup all in........
For the record I also pay for Anthony.
My mudda's a saint on earth. She said, chippah, why don't ya go listen to ya favorite radio show or sumptin.
I was listening to O&A and Howard every day. It actually became too much radio to listen to since O&A were on every day. All I was doing was listening to radio because I wanted to stay current. So I dropped O&A for awhile. Once Ant left last summer, I started listening to O&J again, just because I was curious to see what they would do and how they would handle Ant's departure. I've stuck with them. I like most of the comedians they have in (florentine, Dan Soder) but I find it awkward when Opie tries to interact with Chip. Anthony dealt with Chip much better.
I listened to Ant the first few weeks but it became too much radio again and I dropped him.
I thought the Larry King interview on O&J a few weeks back was great. Larry turned the tables on Opie and started interviewing Opie about Ant's departure. Opie was super uncomfortable. It seems O&A really didn't like each other or get along off air. Great segment if you can find it on the youtubes.
I listen to O&J live, they take a break about once an hour and they're not that long. I listen to recording of Howard, and fast-forward through the commercials and other filler.
