Fuck I just remembered that I never finished ordering the 8 CDs at regular price back in 1988..

By all right that should have showed up on my credit report when I bought my house.

No, I bought the 4 more at regular club prices.

That could have been a good service, but they fucked you over... the bad old days. Made using Napster a lot more fun and satisfying...

They forced you to send a card back to not get the monthly cd. They later changed that to just logging in to their site and declining the monthly offer. They built a business model on hoping people would forget to do this every month.

My friend lived on a dead end street when we were kids. His house was the next to last. The last house was owned by an old couple. After they died it was vacant for a long time though the couple's children would show up once in a while. He sent in his couple of bucks in cash, put on a fake name and had it delivered to that address. He would check their mail until it was delivered and take them. He had over 100 albums that he paid nearly nothing for. No credit checks, no one thought "Gee, this address has been sent in numerous times and "John Smith" hasn't bought his monthly quota." Life was much simpler to circumnavigate before computers.

I still have an old Emerson Lake And Palmer I never opened.
I was listening to Megadeath, Slayer ect. and they sent me ELP?
I forgot to send it back so I bought it for like 15 bucks among other things.

I was too busy with drugs and chicks to send the postcards back.
