I had to throw one to the Partridge Family. The Monkees were a tawdry knock-off of The Beatles.

And as a kid, I had a little crush on Laurie...or maybe I just liked her hair. :jj:

the Cowsills were tawdry enough on their own... Watched a doc about them on Showtime, it was not a happy clan. The girl said her dad tried to rape her, one of the boys was sent to fight in Vietnam, died in
    Hurricane Katrina, etc., etc. Ay-yi-yi....

I liked them both as a kid, but now the PF only interests me for Susan Dey and Shirley Jones.....The Monkees was stupid, but a lot of the music is still good.

I absolutely loved Susan Dey in L.A. Law. I'm still so surprised that she hasn't had a more prominent, successful t.v. career. What's the last thing she's been in?

the monkees . they actually had some relevant songs. funny show too. in the 7th grade they took a vote for our favorite band. everybody said the monkees except this odd kid. he said the stones. :dontknow: I moved in next to him a year later and the guy was a party. older brothers hooked him up. he was like a hip 18 year old and he was 13 or so. :jj:

I have no idea...I wonder how she's lookin' nowadays? She was in one of my favorite unknown movies called "Looker" way back in 81, too... I might need to rewatch that, because it would actually be very timely in this digital CGI age....
