Mark Hamill was charging $150 for an autograph and another $150 for a photo op at a Star Wars con a few years back. The insane part was he had a line miles long all three days. He probably made a quarter of a million dollars that weekend.

I guess the economy can't be too bad if people are paying that much cash to hang out with whoopi Goldberg.

I went to the Philly Comic-Con last year and the line to see William Shatner (who charges an arm and a leg to even get near him)was long as fuck and he wasn't due to arrive for about another 2 hours. Star Trek and Star Wars fans are quite devoted.
Conversely the chick from Charmed that isn't Alyssa Milano or Shannon Doherty was all alone in her little booth area with no one paying attention to her at all for a good 45 minutes.

The "$149.99 anything else" fee is so you don't have to see the fugly dumb bitch.

That one is ok with me. Hamill was paid something like $250,000 for Star Wars which made Lucas a billionaire.

Cons are weird. I went to a horror con in 2003 and there was a huge line for Robert Z'Dar.. I vaguely recognized him (he's the guy with the giant chin from Tango and Cash) but there were at least twenty people who were clearly fans waiting to get their shit signed.

There was a line all day long.

Mark Hamill was a star Quarterback at USC in the mid 1970's, and had looks good enough to go to Hollywood after and become a movie star. I have often thought that he might have gotten more poon than anyone in the 1970's.

    Uh, couple things Capn't Crunch.

    1. UCLA, not USC

    2. Mark HARMON, not Hamill.

    from wikipedia on Mark Hamill...

" He later enrolled at Los Angeles City College and majored in drama."

PS. My wife almost peed herself laughing at this.
