Howard is really passionate about dragging this lawsuit on. Do you think he's really owed money, or is he full of shit?

    From MarksFriggin'

Howard said Bubba was very sweet about the whole thing and even told him he should dump Sirius and go on with the TV show. Howard said he has a contract but if Sirius wants to fire him he's fine with that. He said they're not going to do that. They're going to leave him in the swamp with all of the lawsuits and stuff. He said he thought this was going to be smooth sailing but he was wrong. Robin said they did have a good 5 years Howard said it was actually a good 2 months. He said that his history with this thing goes back. He said it's too hurtful to get into.

Don't care...just want some semblance of the old show back. Is that too much to ask?

Sirius/XM - I don't think they owe him for these bonuses and hope that they prevail if the case goes to trial.

Too bad the contract language wasn't more precise about the definition of a "Sirius subscriber" - while an agreement can't address every scenario, clearly a business combination with XM was contemplated (as they gave Howard a bonus just for the transaction closing). Sirius should have made it clear that people who can't listen to the HSS don't count, or at least have had language to reset the target levels of subscribers if a merger happened.

I'm not on Sirius' side, I'm just against Howard's side.. if that makes any sense.

I could see them settling the lawsuit and part of it is a buyout of his Sirius deal. Howie doesn't want to work much any more and doesn't want to be on radio. He's only doing it for the money and if AGT is a success, you will never hear Howie on radio again after his current contract is up.

Howard should have the decency to not want bonus money from customers that don't want his service.

The $25 million he got for the merger was enough

Although I no longer consider myself one I'm on the side of the listener.
Howard must pay the ultimate sacrifice: Howard gets NOTHING and must make public any and all nude pictures of daughter Emily.

On one hand, I can side with Sirius as they already paid Howard millions upon millions of dollars but he wants more. On the other hand, if Sirius lied and told him that he was going to be a partner, get bonuses based on the total number of subscribers whether they came from XM or not etc., I would have to side with Howard. However the way that Howard is bringing this up constantly and is taking out his frustrations with Sirius by shitting on his fans and giving them an inferior product is unconscienable.

I think the odds of Howard keeping the show going until the end of the current contract is about 50-1 and going up every week.

You typically aren't a "partner" without an equity stake.

Nor is he a managing partner, he's "talent" (I use the latter term quite loosely.)

Any thought of Stern as a partner was conjured up in his own mind. I'm sure the radio biz has its share of douchebags, but every single entity he's worked for, he fights with. Seems to be a pattern there.

Partner implies that you have investment at risk, Howard never had a dime of his own cash at risk. And what must Sirius have thought when this "partner" immediately sold the vast majority of his bonus shares the first day it was allowable, causing the beginning of the decline in their stock value.

I'm on team Sirius. Howard admits right there that he's done 2 months worth of work in five whole years. All Sirius has to do is produce the fact that Howard hasnt delivered to the third premium channel that he's obligated to have produced. Howard scammed Sirius for almost 750,000,000 dollars and we, the listeners got jack shit.

I despise Stern at this point....he is delusional and believes that he saved Sirius. At the same time....I have always been an XM subscriber and have also despised the way Sirius reported subs. They would count a million dust collecting Fords on a car lot as a sub. They're both shit, Stern and Sirius. XM fucked up and got themselves taken over by a bunch of snakes. I really miss the old XM days....
