Why can't there be an article like this about Robin's book...

Kate Gosselin Cookbook Bombs, Slammed By Buyers As ‘Terrible Waste Of Time & Money’
    Posted on Nov 10, 2013 @ 12:14PM | By RadarOnline Staff

Kate Gosselin isn’t winning over any new fans with her cookbook, Love Is In the Mix, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

The customer reviews on Amazon are about as devastatingly bad as they come, and as far as we can tell, ex-husband Jon Gosselin didn’t pen any of them.

“Honestly I believe that anyone who writes a cookbook should have honest skills and training. This is a celebrity vanity book that happens to have a few non-original recipes,” wrote Amy.

What a terrible waste of time and money. Recipes seem to be recycled from the back of soup cans and internet recipe sites,” chimed in Jason.

“I’m not sure why this was even published,” wrote Brenda, warning other customers, “don’t waste your money.”

After the deluge of negative reviews over the first several weeks following the book’s September 24 publication, suddenly several extremely positive ones — “wonderful & amazing” — magically appeared. in the last few days. Maybe Gosselin’s eight kids hit their computers?

But even that’s not helping sales. The book is DOA. It’s almost off the chart on the downside, number 14,944 on Amazon’s sales list.

By comparison, fellow reality TV mom Tori Spelling‘s Spelling It Like It Is is winning raves from customers and is number 41 on Amazon’s list.

Kate Gosselin is semi-well known and roundly despised. Her failures bring joy to many.

Hardly anyone outside the ever-shrinking Stern universe knows who Robin is. She's barely newsworthy enough to get to promote her projects and is apparently not relevant enough for reports on her subsequent failures.

Same thing's been happening with Robin's book. She now has almost as many 5-star reviews as she has 1-stars -- and they mainly praise the recipes in the back and ignore Robin's contribution up front. My one-star review (originally written for this site) is still ranked as the most helpful, despite all the unhelpful votes and negative comments its received. (At this point Amazon has removed three or four of them for their name-calling personal attacks against me.)

What reviews, exactly? It's hard to find one review online written by someone who's actually read the book. And I can't find any reputable critic going anywhere near it. Although Library Journal had this to say: "Unfortunately, recipes don't include nutrient analyses."

The review here by the person that bought it months before it came out was great.
