i was watching the oscars last night, and last year, and the way black people act about these black subject matter movies is crazy. Jewish people do it about concentration camp movies too. I mean I watched Selma and it was an okay movie but the way Oprah and all these other black stars act you would think it is an all or nothing proposition, that the movie was the modern day equivalent of Citizen Kane. Like it is a total racial issue when they don't win and that is the only reason why they don't win awards because it is a black person or movie up for the award.

Every time they talked about the movie last night they fought back tears and stuff and half the people weren't even born or around when the subject matter was relevant. In addition half the blacks in movie entertainment industry have no relevance to the real plight of black people anymore they are Hollywood rich elite like Will Smith true one percenters.

Same thing with Kayne at the Grammys when Beck won. How dare you not give it to Beyoncé, she didn't get it because she was black and the academy is racist. Don't show up then Kayne. He couldn't accept the fact she didn't win.

I just don't get it. Everything is about race to these artists and they are about as black as I am at this point. Quit crying about these movies and stuff and acting like it is your plight because it never was.

I would equate it to me crying about the way the Irish were treated during the potato famine or when they came to America as unwanted immigrants. Whatever

Hey I could care less about any of it. I just don't know why they had to cry every time they talked on stage about Selma.
Whatever crying doesn't make the movie any more important

I do watch "Real Time with Bill Maher" and he did a bit showing what was in oscar gift baskets. The most interesting items were vaporizers and vibrators.

The oscars like every other show I couldn't give 2 shits. A night of ass kissing a bunch of millionaire celebs. I'm glad that people who do make-up, sounds, and costumes, get recognized, other than that not worth watching. Only time I fully watched the Oscars was when seth macfarlane hosted.

That's exactly what I thought. The pretty boy stoically crying was definitely auditioning for something.

As far as blacks making a big deal about awards....if you grew up without a father, you would be constantly seeking approval and societal validation too.
