They're also afraid of the bank. It's a cultural thing.
no schtick here just curious
Leave the embarrassing racism to shiv it suits the white trashies better
You gotta have the best shoes, cars and cloths!
As one who has pulled the credit bureau's of hundreds (possibly even thousands) of blaek-folk, I can say that it boils down to two aspects .... (1) Extremely mismanaged job history//below-average wages ..... and, (2) Complete & absolute lack of understanding of how to build & maintain a quality credit file//FICO score
Black American CULTURE is different from whites. They don't give a shit about building good credit. They don't care about signing on for a 30-year mortgage and being homeowners. They want to drive that Escalade off the lot TODAY, they don't care if they're making $5000 a month payments. And it better have those rims they want or else, motherfucker
I'm thinking you own a sugar plantation, not working on one?
because they have no money? because they have no jobs? because they have a past history of late payments (not defaulting), because they listened to some asshole on TV who told them "bankruptcy is a new beginning", because based upon where they live they have a greater statistical probability of not repaying?
from what i've read about it, that's what determines creditworthiness. banks are color-blind: they generally only see one color, and its not black or white.
and the biggest personal credit lender in the country doesn't even use FICO scores (they have their own scoring).
Renting gold teeth
I provide workers for a reasonable price
and those are cheap 14k gold too. even have bad taste about teeth.
The ones who DO have money and jobs (music/sports mostly) aren't interested in building a high credit score. It's just not a part of their make-up. They'll pay cash, mofo
They're generally not afraid of banks, per se.. They typically just do something early on that prevents them from keeping one open..(overdraft issues, fraud, creditor bank levy, etc)
GHP is right
that comes from their environment. those that see others valuing platinum credit cards, etc. learn to manage their credit history. those who see people valuing cash and cheap gold, don't.
