When did it become a thing to not take ownership of your own actions and to just point fingers at someone else?

Blaming rich is easy excuse for politicians to get elected. It also provides an convenient excuse for being lazy and poor. US has only about 20 years before it becomes Brazil of today. It would be easy to blame Obama but it's politicians of both parties looking for their own greed. The middle class continues to shrink in meantime

Play a game of monopoly with a player starting with 90% of the cash and properties , and see how far you get.

Extremely complex issue that you are making a very simplistic statement about.

It's not really very complex, hard work pays off.

Because there's a disproportionate amount between the top 1% and everyone else.

And? It's not a zero sum game. Your neighbor being richer than you doesn't make you poorer.

Isn't the opposite also true? Listen to conservative media and all you hear is the poor being blamed for everything. The mantra is usually that they don't pay their share of taxes. The rich keep making the self-serving decisions to move good paying jobs out of this country. Hell, that isn't even good enough. They also import cheap, foreign workers via H1B visas. Say what you will about personal responsibility, but what is everyone supposed to do? Are we all supposed to be investment bankers?
