Why do you suppose Howard chose to completely ignore NBC's " Celebrity Apprentice"?

Although it was brought up to his attention briefly by a caller, he never really took note that the show involves many "friends of the show"..... Just odd:c

Because he tried to get Beth on the show but Trump rejected her.

I figured it was either that or Trump's ongoing feud with Howard's new BFF Rosie.

this. i would have thought he'd mention it because of george but it seems howard's loyalty to rosie trumps all. does he realize that rosie is a 911 conspiracy nut and has said some horrible things about other people?

    --------

It's been a while since Trump visited or called into THSS. He calls in all the time to CNBC and Fox & Friends. Maybe he knows that Howards "reach" is minor these days?

According to Marks Friggin, the last time Trump called in was 4/12/2010.

Howard spoke about Trump for his birther agenda last year.

    Mark's Friggin

Howard Says Trump Is Ruining His Brand. 05/02/11. 6:20am

Howard said Obama made a great speech and got right into it. He said it was very inspiring. Howard said he watched the President and Seth Meyers at the Washington Correspondents Dinner. He said Trump was in the audience and it was kind of a fun event. Howard said the President went off on Trump and then Seth Meyers went off on him too. Howard said he likes Trump but he doesn't agree with the whole birther thing. He said he doesn't believe the guy is actually running for President. He said he feels that he's harming his brand going out and saying all of the stuff he's saying. He's turning off a lot of people doing this stuff. Howard said he has some radical views and he's coming off as a tough guy. Robin said he's catering to a lot of people who aren't so smart. Howard said they're a bunch of dummies. Robin said that's one way to put it. Howard said he doesn't think Trump needs this. He said the guy is a builder and not that many people have gotten famous doing that. He said it's an amazing thing to become famous for that. He said he probably takes no advice as far as public relations. He said he has gotten famous on his own but now he's becoming hated by a lot of people. He said they embarrassed him at that event and he could tell the guy was embarrassed. Howard said the guy doesn't need this and he's not coming off well.

Howard said he was watching Seth Meyers joking right to Trump's face and he was being very funny doing it. Howard played some of the audio from that event. Seth was making fun of his run for President and his hair and stuff like that. Howard said he could see that Trump wasn't comfortable there. He said he's not sure why he even showed up. Howard said he didn't think he was having a good time. Howard played more of Seth's roast of Trump. Seth had joke after joke about Trump's Presidential run and some comments he's made lately. Howard said this is all fun and games until someone starts firing back. He said Trump must be wondering what he needs this for. He played more of Seth goofing on Trump. Howard said Obama even started in on Trump. He played that audio too. Obama was joking about how he should be following up on Mitt Romney passing universal health care in Massachusetts. Trump said that Donald can now get back to focusing on the things that matter and finding out if we faked the moon landing and things like that. Howard said he's not sure why Trump needs this. He said he might realize that soon and give up. Gary came in and said that some people think that Obama made his speech last night just so he could interrupt The Celebrity Apprentice which is Trump's show.

Irrelevant, my dear. The gay issue trumps (no pun intended) all others.

too many potential guests, guests take up prime audio real estate, thus, no guests......unless he can work in a commercial while asking them about black guys and beer can cocks, then it is ok.....

Nobody is giving a flying fuck about The Apprentice this year.

So Howard is just being normal.

I'm watching The British Apprentice, which actually has way more viewers than the Trump version, even though Britian is 1/6 the size of the United States.

And the British Trump is Jewish.

    Check it out.

Howard is ignoring this star studded affair. This show is kinda boring cause you know it will be a Lisa vs. Penn final.

Could be an O&A thing since they seem pretty tight with the Trump kids and even had Donald on recently.

Obviously because they didn't buy ads on the radio show. If they thinks that gathering a bunch of "friends of the show" is gonna get them free advertising, they thought wrong.

It's something to do with Dee Snider. When Lisa Lampanelli was enthusing about him, during her last visit, Howard immediately changed the subject. Dee was brought up again, by Lisa, later in the interview & Howard went spontaneously deaf. Even weirder -- Robin remained mute whenever Dee's name was mentioned :censor:

On not getting invited to his friend, Howard Stern's wedding:

Dee Snider: We weren't invited. My relationship with Howard hasn't been the same in over a decade. Although we reconnected on the air, and it was great to clear the air and find out what the problems were and put it behind us, just too much time had passed. Howard has a whole different life now. I'm still that same guy that he met in 1984 on the "David Letterman" show. We bonded over the fact that we were both from Long Island and the same age, married to our childhood sweethearts and we each had kids. Our lifestyles were crazy but we left that at the office and came home to our wives. We bonded over that normalcy. But when Howard got divorced, he became a single, partying guy. He became a strip-club guy. That left a guy like me in the dust. I just said, "Okay, have fun." But we no longer had that connection. It's still not the same. He's not a dad. He's very much a celebrity. He's more of a Hollywood guy now. He claims he screwed up our relationship by not talking to me because I started doing radio when he was the one who suggested I go on radio! I actually asked his permission and offered a piece of my show for supporting me. But he said, "No, it's cool." But then he stopped talking to me. He just stopped returning my phone calls. Yet he was the one who pushed me into radio to begin with! So I just couldn't believe he stopped talking to me over it. He admits he fucked up the relationship and that it's just too weird now to invite me to his wedding. But when I heard the guest list I thought, "Wow, we're not the same dudes." It was all celebrities. There were no normal people there. He recently had me on the show and I knew we would be friends again if after my segment was over he asked me to stay and hang out with him and do the news. But this time he just shock my hand and said, "Thanks for stopping by." I knew it would never be the same after that.
