I think the show is usually like 25-30 min with about 10-15 minutes of commercials.. Did anyone ever ask them why?

Nothing like a replay of a live read on a live show looking back at replayed replays, again.

It's subscription radio vortex. Nothing can escape the avarice gravity.

Why does the wrap up show wrap up shows that have already been wrapped up?

If they could play commercials during commercials, they would.

That wrap up show is about as entertaining as watching a Kroger bagboy gathering shopping carts in a parking lot

I remember Howard once saying that they gave Advertisers 5 hours of live show per day (they worked). That didn't sit right with me - until I realized that HS must think of the WUS as part of the HSS - at least that's how they package it to advertisers. It's probably a way for them to charge more for commercials - advertisers typically have to buy "packages" - not just one commerical - so the HSS show can force advertisers to buy a higher price package - but not have all the commercials play during the real show.

"Uhh listen, it is what it is. When we first started the wrap up show we didn't have any commercials and a lot of fans wrote in saying 'ohh you guys are assholes for not playing commercials' so we added them in for them. Now we have noine minutes of commercials. What do yo do for a living?"

He could have packaged them all on a CD to sell to people but he figured he owed his fans to give the commercials for free.

Howard was usually on 5 hours from 6AM- 11AM plus the TWUS

Since he now broadcasts by the terms of his contract (6AM-10AM), the ads have to be played somewhere.
