It's almost like he's against it. He could even use a current employee to save money. Sal, Shuli, anybody. They can even get a hungry no name comedian to sit in each week and pay with plugs. The show lacks the edge it once had. Howard has gotten soft, they don't want Artie back, they don't want Jackie back. The show has become 2 out of touch rich people talking about how great they are. I wish there was a way to make some noise and let Howard know that the fans really want someone in the chair.

too much shit to sell us.
comedy is dangerous and would only get in the way of making side marbles.

Howard may not be completely self-aware, but he's not stupid. He quit having creative meetings and doesn't fill the Artie chair because he wants the show to suck so as to punish Sirius. He exhausted his bonuses from Sirius and now he's merely a salaried employee who is dissatisfied. He has no financial incentive for the show to be good but he has plenty of reasons for wanting to fuck over Sirius.

The reduced schedule is just evidence that he has basically sold his name to Sirius (for marketing purposes).

It's hard to argue with this. And it coincides with the strict 4 hour days of the new contract. And with everything else.

    :(

    This.

The old Howard was driven by a need to succeed and attain financial reward. He reached that with the first Sirius contract and after the allure of satellite site off, he stopped giving a fuck about anything related to the show. Now its just a chore.

Filling the jackie/artie chair would take too much time, effort and thought into making such a decision.
And we all know how tired and lazy howard is.

Fill the Artie chair or empty the Robin chair, at this point either would be an improvement.

Does Sirius in anyway promote the Howard Stern show anymore. It doesn't seem like it.

    This!
If that cheap bastard can't double dip on the job and plug something for a freebie, he needs to be able find a way to write it of his taxes.
He perpetuates the cheap Jewish stereotype, no wonder most Jews hate his guts.
