    Something occurred to me today:

Howard railed against Stuttering John because he did not communicate to Tom Chiusano that he had received an offer from The Tonight Show. Howard claimed that it was his duty to do so because CBS was owed the chance to match John's Tonight Show offer.

    This was in 2004...

...which means, at virtually the exact same time, Howard was negotiating his mega-deal with Sirius without CBS' knowledge. CBS went on to sue him precisely for this reason:

What a hypocritical, treacherous piece of shit.

Howard is a hypocrite, but not in this case. John abandoned the show for more money. He kept it a secret and left everyone high and dry.

Howard left CBS because they were censoring him to death and ruining his show. He was vocal about his dissatisfaction and mentioned a few times that he may go to satellite. He gave them a whole year to prepare for his departure. CBS did get a chance to offer Howard more money but he denied the offer so he could be censor free at Sirius.

In no way does the above negate the fact that Howard Stern is a piece of shit.

It doesn't matter why he left.

it doesn't matter that he grumbled on-air about CBS.

He secured a boatload of cash from another employer while he was under contract with CBS and never formally provided details on negotiations or contract specifics.

His censor free tirade was just an act... He has no problem with NBC now... Everything he represents is pharsical and we have them on every coast.

I think suing Sirius for 300 million is a bigger dick move than anything he's ever done to CBS. The funny thing is, Howard keeps saying Sirius doesn't like him anymore like it's some sort of surprise. I guess he expects to be friends with Sirius while working 3 days a week and suing them for a ton of money.

Who is "everyone"? And what do you mean by "high and dry"?

Or maybe it was the $500 million plus bonuses that Sirius was willing to pay.

Howard was also vocal about his dissatisfaction with FCC censorship before entering into previous contracts with KROQ. And ironically, Howard's show self-censored after the move to Sirius.

Actually, Howard took advantage of KROQ for a whole year by promoting Sirius on KROQ air waves. Because he stood to gain bonus money, of course.

According to the CBS lawsuit, Howard was contractually required to give CBS the opportunity to match or improve upon any competitor's offer, but Howard didn't do that before signing with Sirius.
