It sucks to be a cop. I know that some people think they go over the top - but maybe that's 2% of them. Look at this BS they have to deal with - these people try an sneak into a pool without paying, and it turns into a whole brawl. You can see why these kind of incidents can spiral. People are assholes. The cops should be allowed to carry nightsticks again and bop people on the head for this kind of BS.
I don't know what the answer is, as a cop do you turn a blind eye to some of these petty crimes or do you create a situation where you know you cannot win? Sneaking into a pool is not the crime of the century and might blow up as it did in this video and create 10 times more trouble then its worth. But then again breaking the law is breaking the law. Its a shit sandwich.
I was at a graduation last night...Bunch of 'them' were standing in a walkway blocking the exit of old folks trying to leave. Cop told them to either move forward or move back and let the people pass. They folded their arms and stared at him, without moving. Cop walked away. No use risking his career, LOL. I guess this will be the new normal
You need to enforce the law. The problem is the lack of respect for police. Any way you slice it, the person breaking the law is the problem. Sometimes police break the law too, but either way, you need to enforce the law.
No one brought up race. I intentionally neglected to avoid any mention of the race of these people. ......you know none of them can swim.
One of the toughest professions with one of the highest suicide rates. Cops have to deal with the worst people in our society on a daily basis. And all cops should not be blamed for the actions of a few bad ones
Another officer was killed yesterday. http://wreg.com/2015/06/19/cincinatti-police-officer-killed-in-the-line-of-duty/
If I was a cop I would have needed a spare battery for my Tazer by the time I got finished with those assholes.
"They" have been empowered now because nobody (the media, the politicians, the black leaders) not only call them out on their boorish behavior, but are lauded as heroes. They know now that they can push cops around because officers will be labeled racist pigs and end up loosing their jobs for doing their jobs. It is only going to get worse.
I really think body cameras would be much more of an aid to the cops than not. Those guys didn't come to work looking to get in a melee at a pool that day. The big cop shot a look for a second like "jesus christ really? I have softball tonight". They don't make enough for the bs, especially today, they gotta deal with when they show up at work.
Eh, bullshit like this has happened in the past. Their just weren't cameras everywhere. I'm not trying to side one way or another and turn this thing into yet another race issue, but this winter a bunch of U of Michigan Frat douches destroyed a hotel for no reason. Jerk offs are jerk offs. Be nice if fuckin parents would start really doing their jobs. I'm kind of looking forward for my kids to be old enough to have the talk: You get in trouble and the police are the least of your worries, boy. I remember my parents giving it to me after one of their buddys kids got busted joyriding carts at a gold course. He got busted, admitted and was the only guy of the three prosecuted and had to pay. My parents were like: If you're dumb enough do something stupid like that, just get arrested, don't say shit till we show up with a lawyer. But I'm gonna kick your ass when you get home.
