Is this true?
Sounds about right. I know a couple of people that have to take a selfie every morning for the world to see on instagram. Fucking people need to get a real life.
funny if you posted this with your phone while eating lunch
with or without cats?
Without cats...otherwise normal, average, people. They just feel some extreme compulsion to share their ugly faces with the world every day.
I don't get picture taking of the food, I see people taking pictures of the food at the taco shops here, a couple tacos, rice and beans and they have to take a picture of it. Do they take a picture of the bowl when it comes out the other end too.
I am convinced this also applies to rush hour traffic. People are always on their phone so they don't give a shit that they are holding up traffic.
There was an article in the times earlier this week about how restaurants are catering to this new demand. Making the plates and food more photo friendly/ready
The waiter is coming back again, should I get the Chef salad or BLT?
L A Tacos shops. Calif. Taco shops. One on every corner. Hey where's the Landscaper smiley ?
Blt , chefs salad will give you the shits
I believe this to be true.
People can't keep their gottdamn faces out of their phones for more than 5 minutes at a time.
I hate people's narcissism and ridiculous fascination with the banality on their phones.
However, times change, people's habits change and so on. Businesses have to choose whether to change with them, or to remain as-is and bear the consequences, good or bad.
If I lived in the area I would eat there every fucking day just to thank them for calling people on their inane behavior...
The cell phones at restaurants is getting out of hand. My fiance and I were out for dinner recently and a family of 4 walks in and sits down. All 4 of them are on their phones, no one talking, parents not talking to each other, kids not talking to each other. It's sickening...this constant need to take a picture of what you're doing and "check in" on Facebook is absurd.
I only see it getting worse.
I remember seeing a listing once for a house in West L.A. and the comment was "Walking distance to Tito's Tacos." Evidently that was considered a selling point.
i thought this thread was about colored people time...i was mildly disapointed
We see it at the dog park too. Some people just come in, let their dog loose, pay no attention to him/her, don't bother to pick up after them - they just sit down and go on their phones.
It sickens me. Whenever I take my daughter and her friends out, I always let the friends know on the way there, that nobody's phone can be out at the table. One kid who had never been out with us before was flabbergasted. She said whenever her mom and brother and she go out to dinner, all three of them stare at their phones the whole time.
