Is Tim scared that he'll be let go once John Malone takes over in January? What's with his recent "efforts" and actually trying to program the channels?

The majority of the lazy ones at 100/101 are gone. Nothing they do now will save their jobs. Not all of them are contracted like Howard and will need to get in the unemployment line.

For one thing, they need to fill in Ferrall's time slot when he leaves at the end of December.

I think all these crappy shows Tim is throwing on the air have a lot to so with Howard's contract. I am sure he is contracted to put a certain amount of new programming on 101 and in a effort to make sure he doesn't fall short and falls into a breach of contract he has Tim putting anything on the air to meet the contractual obligations.

Hey there's plenty of Government Cheese to go around for Howard's staff when Malone starts "Taking Care Of Business" . . .

There was some political show on today on 101. I didn't see anyone talking about it. I thought everyone here would be abuzz.

What "efforts" are you talking about? They've always thrown in a few random shows here and there with the usual poor results. The only difference I've seen lately is that they TALK a lot about doing new stuff and how busy they are. It's just like "The Revolution", they think if they repeat it enough times people will believe it. If they're really starting to put in some effort it certainly hasn't resulted in any improvements and, let's face it, it's too late.

I never thought Ferrel was a good fit for the Howard channels.

I never listed to Ferrel either. I wonder if they pay him decent money.

I am familiar somewhat with John Malone's conduct as owner of the atlanta braves.

On his orders the gm regularly shed star players with big contracts just at the right time, often just before their drop off in abilities start to take hold. All the while they keep an efficient farm system pumping out stars at a fast rate and remian competative nearly every year since the early 90s. Playoff appearences 14 years in a row and 16 of the last 21 years. With a farm system that has produced plenty of stars.

Showing up and cutting major fat from the Stern channels (if not Stern himself) and then using that money to hire much younger, hungry, and more productive for the $ talent is just the type of move Malone likes

    this is the answer!
i was wondering about the latest flurry of activity as well....howard has no pride so it has to have something to do with marbles or his contractual obligations.

Now we know why thanks to fat Jason.

The upper management assholes are looking for excuses to fire people now that Howard is only on 3 days a week so they are creating new shows to justify their jobs.

They should put Black on Black on. Then I'll listen to H101.

I was hoping it meant a total AGT fail, and Howard wanted to prove his Channels were not total poo pa poo.

Yeah, he said they have to write a letter to management twice a year to update them on what they do for the channels and that higher ups feel that Howard is only on 3 times a week.
