Howard's a greedy cheap pig that kept the money for himself as he pissed on his listeners.

Why would Howard need to put an ass in that chair, he fancies himself a comedian on Seinfeld's level.

I'm sure every day Howie saw the empty chair he felt like he was really sticking it to Sirius and showing them who's boss.

By that point in his career, Howard was set in his ways. He didn't want to add another person.

    He doesn't want a shakeup.

It's the same reason he never fired Gary.

He could've fired everybody and brought in new people who would've been superior.

But Howard doesn't want that. He doesn't want to fire anybody.

    He settles for mediocrity.

Only clicked on this to see how many posts before "marbles" was used. Didn't disappoint.

Howard doesn't seem to understand that when he sabotages his own show "clandestinely" to stick it to The Man, it's really sticking it to the fans. And then he expects the fans to back him up as if he's some blue collar working stiff that makes $40k a year and can't get the hot chick at the bar to save his life.

With Artie gone, it no longer sounded like the morning zoo. Now it's just two severely out of touch geriatric people making asinine statements as crickets chirp.

This played well into Wiggy's comfort zone.

Oh, also- he got to pocket the $750K- helping to buy some more ice cold, stomach-churningly tacky statues for the "living room" in that Hamptons Miser Cave.

He cares about his money. (...*obviously*.)

....and he doesn't really care too much about the quality of his radio show...anymore. (...somewhat obviously.)
