NOW suddenly the story is AGT wasn't sure Wiggy was returning and since AGT is such a "huge show" :backlol:they had to call in big gun Cowell to take his place:

"'There were a lot of conversations going on because Howard didn't look like he was coming back," the insider says of the negotiations that went on last fall. 'It's a huge show and you have to make alternative plans if one of the key players isn't sure if he's returning. Simon was an obvious call to make. But even before Howard made his decision to return, Simon had already said, 'Thanks, but no thanks.' He's already committed to both his British shows, which film back to back. It just wouldn't have worked.'

Catching wind of the misinformation Stern had received, Cowell – who owns and is an executive producer on the top-rated NBC summer talent show – quickly reached out to remedy the situation.

'There was a misunderstanding. That's all,' says the insider. 'Simon called Howard's manager to make sure he knew the real situation and Howard sent a message back that he now understood and now they're friends again. They've always got on well'."

Nice to know the goings on with Captian Irrelevant and Lieutenant Inconsequential and their lowest common denomintator of schmaltz and manufactured psuedo-drama that we lovingly call AGT.

And not the best photo of Howie, lots going on around the forehead for Wig Truthers.

    Spin spin spin.
Howard is such an ill fit for that show. I'm still shocked they went with him. Buchwald must have reall over-sold his popularity to the NBC brass.
I bet he didn't bring on more than a few thousand "fans"
He just isn't the draw he once was. And rightly so. As @teehee said in a different thread, he stinks!

Both are total fucking liars. Howard surely doesn't believe him, but it gave him spin he could work with, so he'll pretend he does.

We read the e-mail, it's completely obvious he was looking to replace him. Nothing about IF Howard doesn't come back. They touched on saving money by moving it back to CA.

But aren't the e-mails involved in this conversation public enough to kinda draw the CORRECT lines here?

    They're all fucking liars.

    From Thelma's link:

"I met with Simon Cowell yesterday. If you remember he was considering what to do with the show America Has Talent ... He is thinking that the right thing to do would be for him to star in the show, not Howard Stern ..."

It's clear that this discusses replacing Stern, not a Plan B scenario, should he decide not to return.

I wonder who was the "insider" quoted in the article - it's embarrassing enough for a shock jock to be judging on AGT let alone this side nonsense about whether the 2015 Gong Show lite had the gall to think of taking away his chance to dance around with shirtless men.

Is there one clip of a recent stern show that does not involve gay cock humor? How delusional is Howard that he thinks Letterman fans want him to do an hour long interview about Dave's life for his last show ever. And when did everyone side with Howard and his terrorism comments? And the lies and spin about AGT are fucking riddiculous.
