Or is Scott to proud of a republican to take money from the government?
Are they officially out of jobs?
Out of everyone on the show not named "Howard Stern" Depace is the one who will have the easiest time finding work.
As a video director, his skills are easily transferrable to other show, and with his wife being a longtime (producer?) on the daily show, he should have no problem finding work.
Robin will be fine because of her "name value" and will be able to pop up on places like cnn and msnbc as some kind of leftwing media pundit.
Richard will be able to find work in the music world
Everyone else is fucked becuase their "skill set" means nothing outside of the stern show
HowardTv webpage has been stripped down to bare bones. Just the schedule of remaining shows.
Its over Johnny. Its over!
Pretty sure that HTV is going to join Web 2.0 and be, you know, actually a streaming PPV svc that doesn't require you be Comcast's bitch and shit.
Which will be nice. Well, for those who actually bother with HTV.
I bet Howard in some way found a way to deny unemployment benefits.
If they were hired as "independent contractors" I think they're fucked.
He "promoted" them to consultants at 9:59am on Wednesday.
Yup, they are fucked.
Howard will never part with a marble.
And they also signed no book clauses
He's going to a different palatform, my guess is Direct TV
I bet so too.
That would do it.
Too bad Gange didn't ask this question on the latest HTV episode of Ask Howard.
Wonder where Rachel Fine will end up?? A super talent like her should land on her feet at a high paying gig.
Yeah I really don't know what most of them do. Wasn't Jason hired as the photographer or something? I know he "produces" now but how many photographs did the show need to take, especially when the studio was filled with camera crews? I can't really imagine what anyone would do in that back office aside from JD, since the show is mostly Howard going through stacks of 15 second audio clips and JD puts all those down for wiggy. It's weird, Opie really did a good job pointing out how much money, space, attention etc the show is given in that building and how little effort is put in. I mean being a radio DJ and getting multi-million dollar weekly paychecks is so unlikely it sounds like a goof. Most people don't make that kind of money in paychecks working as a company employee. There's usually some level of personal risk and performance contingency involved.
But Howard ended up with a fluke of a radio show that's been successful beyond anyone's dreams, he's got a whole section of the building barricaded off like it's area 51 and he slouches into work a few times times a week with enough energy to put together a whole sentence. It's gotta be tough to be a radio guy working your ass off on another show (with better ratings most likely) and sit there every day watching this happen. People must hate Howard.
Id gladly pay her to suck me off.
On her back.
