    No major network in their right mind is going to touch Howard. He's not relevant, I could not see him building a new fan base and the old fans just don't care anymore. He couldn't even succeed at an ensemble talent show in prime time.

    I think that Letterman respects what Howard used to stand for. I don't think he respects him anymore or would ever hand over the reigns to him.
