    Legend.

    Great guest.

    Great Music.

Oh, oh deep water, black and cold like the night
I stand with arms wide open,
    I've run a twisted line
I'm a stranger in the eyes of the Maker

I could not see for the fog in my eyes
I could not feel for the fear in my life
And from across the great divide, In the distance I saw a light
Jean Baptiste's walking to me with the Maker

My body is bent and broken by long and dangerous sleep
I can't work the fields of Abraham and turn my head away
I'm not a stranger in the hands of the Maker

Brother John, have you seen the homeless daughters
    Standing there with broken wings
I have seen the flaming swords
    There over east of eden

Burning in the eyes of the Maker
Burning in the eyes of the Maker
Burning in the eyes of the Maker...

Oh, river rise from your sleep...

A true legend... and we will never see the likes of him again.

Great guitarist, singer, and writer with a style all his own.

He and Freddie Mercury are my favorite culturally significant, unclassifiable singers.

He has a show coming up in Coney Island Sept 13 and I just saw that he is at the Stone Pony this Friday. A single second row seat is available in CI for $125. Can't possibly be as cool as seeing his show on the lawn at Sunset Station Casino though. I don't think there were 1000 people at the casino. It had more the feel of a keg party w/ band than a concert.

I am not a country fan in general, but Willie kicks down the borders on the genre.

    Legend.

My cousin has a camp for children with serious illnesses. It's free of charge to the children and every year Willie Nelson has a concert at the camp to raise money to help out.

Saw him last year at Radio City. His guitar playing is something to behold. He is fearless with that thing. "Trigger" I think he calls it.

He's cool but I just wanna torch that guitar he plays. Either that or dip it in resin to preserve it. It sounds like shit and is out of tune and its put in enough hours. Let it rest.

It sounds beautiful. Nothing kills tone like any sort of heavy sealant or finish. In an age where most guitarists drag out their effects boxes and tricks, Willie is just monster tone and a great soloist.

This is very much worth reading: http://www.texasmonthly.com/articles/trigger/

Willie says when Trigger stops, he will likely stop. I believe him.

Give me a break. It has an extra fucking hole in it the shape of florida. You don't think that changes the tone more than a finish? If he played through an amp with a speaker that had 6 holes in it some asshole would say willies amp is the best amp in the world. Just stop already. I've heard him play it live and its a joke. I get the sentimental value but it sounds like shit.
