Went to his 4th of July picnic once in 2000 and last year...
I suppose its something a person should do once...maybe
I saw him at Billy Bobs one time. It was pretty cool.
I'd love to see him but I fear that ship has sailed.
Trust me, it has.
But I did see Freddie Fender at the HemisFair Arena.
I was missing home so my wife made me chicken fried steak and fried okra.
Shit reminds me of road trips as a kid with my mom and pap.
This is my jam....
That reminds me of the movie, "Honeysuckle Rose." Willie performs it with Dianne Canon, who plays his wife in the movie.
samsies. my mom LOVED willy.
as much as I hated classic country as a kid I'm glad I was exposed to it. it's strangely comforting to me now.
Brah is a flaming queer.
He gay, too.
I've seen Willie 4 times. First at the Trump Taj Mahal. Kinda boring show, lots of old people. Second, opened for the Dead in Camden. Partied too long in the parking lot and only caught his last song and 2 he did w/ the Dead. 3rd, on the lawn at Sunset Station Casino in Henderson, NV. Great show. Lots of hotties dolled up in cowgirl gear. 4th at the minor league ball field in Lakewood, NJ where he opened for Dylan. Again, partied a little long in the parking, was blitzed and only saw half his set. Dylan sucked.
Pheelios and I would have invited ourselves over. That's one of our favorite meals hands down.
So you went twice then?
