That was rigged, right?
Is everything a conspiracy now on the Show?
I'm not sure. Since there was prize money involved, I think it would be a pretty serious crime if there were any sort of tampering that could be proven. And we know that Wiggy projects the image of one who is scared shitless of running afoul of the law.
The only way I could see it being fake is if the contestant are plants, as well. Not sure how realistic that is.
Yes, in the schense that they wrote questions that were typically in Fred's "wheel-house" of trivial knowledge and they had morons face him.
Fred knows trivia, but he's not smart. Listen to him talk conversationally - he's not bright. I also can't stand that he Googles things during the show and passes it off as if it was something he already knew.
noun: show business; noun: showbusiness
the theater, movies, television, and pop music as a profession or industry.
I used to enjoy Win Fred's Money...
Sometimes he would say the answer before enough of the question was even asked to know what the question even was.
And they let Crazy Cabbie win because they knew they wouldn't have to pay him.
My 3 year old son keeps singing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle theme song. I now know every word. Nauseating. Damn catchy song though.
I'm a retard. Put this in the wrong thread.
Howard's show isn't classified as a Game Show, it's an Entertainment Show. Yeah, I know it's hard to say that with a straight face. AGT also gets around the Federal laws by saying it's entertainment like professional wrestling. Not real. That's how Howard can give prize money to wack packers and people affiliated with the show without getting into trouble.
Ring of Honor wrestling is real.
Why would there be any issue with giving money to wackpackers? And I highly doubt that Wiggy, or anyone associated with Sirius or THSS, would want to risk going to court to test the legal distinctions between being a designated game show versus an entertainment program that occasionally has game show like segments, were it to become known that these contests were rigged in favor of the show. Just imagine for a second the layers of the HSS onion that could be peeled back if the inner 'behind the scenes' workings of the show were subjected to the type of scrutiny possible during a deposition. No fucking way Wiggy is going to risk that.
I don't think so, Cabbie has said it was legit, and he's the first one to sling shit against that show these days so he would say. But again, maybe he never knew. So you may be right, I may be crazy...
I know. Too easy. But still.....
That guy said what needed to be said.
All better now.
They often showed Fred wearing headphones and "listening to music" in another room during the first contestant. I bought into it at the time but now am convinced it was actually a live feed of the show so Fred could hear the questions right. As others have noted, based on his (infrequent) spontaneous on-air conversations there's no way he won all those games and then suddenly lost to Cabbie!
It wasn't even a clever parody of "Win Ben Stein's Money", just a blatant ripoff to fill airtime. How Howard could lean on that bit so heavily in between his rants on inventing "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader", "American Idol", "Celebrity Boxing" and "Jaywalking" approaches maximum hypocrisy.
