VIDEO: Unsuspecting fan at Hornets-Kings game hit in face with basketball while looking at a cell phone BY Daniel O'leary NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Wednesday, March 11, 2015, 9:09 PM If we’ve said it once, we’ve said it a hundred times, PLEASE pay attention at live sporting events, people. Whether you are in the stands or a waiter delivering beer near Mason Plumlee or bringing food to a former mayor of New York City: PLEASE PAY ATTENTION! AND STAY OFF YOUR PHONES! Or, if you need to obsessively tweet - and we know that you do - at least pick your head up when the game action is right near you! Otherwise, you may end up like this poor unidentified woman at Wednesday night’s Hornets-Kings game. Poor woman never saw it coming. Couple more things to point out here as the Daily News’ crack sports staff had a few looks at this: 1. The Robert Guillaume look alike behind the poor victim is late with the help 2. The Phil Fulmer look alike on the left of the screen is late with the help AND comes with the wrong hand, reaching across his body with his right arm. And why? Because he is holding his cell phone in his left hand! Oh, cruel irony. 3. This happened in front of the Hornets bench? No one had the reaction time to grab it? Get better dexterity men, then you can get in the game. Poor woman never sees the ball coming. 4. Perhaps most impressively, the glasses appear to remain intact. Those must be some pretty great glasses. According to the Associated Press, the woman, who had a bloody nose, was later seen laughing and "fixed the problem with a few tissues given to her by team's event staff."
