Looks great to me... I don't know anything about it except what I've seen in the trailer and that Brad Pitt movies are usually good.

I didn't even know it was Mel Brooks' kid that wrote the book until this morning.

Surprised at the good reviews because it took so long to get this movie to the screen, I thought it would be a stinker. I still don't like fast zombies. :(

    Zombie whore here.

Loved the book. Think the movie looks great even though it is obviously nothing like the book.

The book was more a (very) slow and quiet political and economical story about the world getting on it's feet after a massive zombie attack. The few instances were it detailed attacks were about armies using the wrong weapons to defeat slooooow zombies that just over ran the tech. One of the more memorable moments in the book features a pilot parachuting into a tree, she jumps down and rolls her ankle and has to hobble away from the slooooow zombies hobbling after her.

I think the movie looks like it is going to be great. But they should have renamed it.

Blasphemy! The Return Of The Living Dead is one of the best zombie movies ever made (probably about #3) and it had fast (and slow depending on the level of decay) zombies almost 30 years ago.

I don't mind the running zombies. They broke the monotony of the slow tidal wave of ghouls.

28 Days Later was fucking terrifying because they were so fast.

Its not the believability factor. I just get the willies. Zombies who have super powers of The Flash ...idk, it's scurry.

Wasn't loving the idea of running zombies until I watched the Dawn of the Dead remake. For no good reason, I love that movie, and it changed my opinion.

    Except for

    The Godfather
    Bladerunner
    Jaws
    To Kill a Mockingbird
    Maltese Falcon
    Princess Bride
    Fight Club
    Silence of The Lambs
    The Shining
    Pycho
    Gone With The Wind
    The Graduate

    :c:c:c:c:c

And for me, its not that its not going to live up to the movie, its that they took the rights and shit all over them. What made the book so awesome were the wide variety of viewpoints and scenes... Im sure they will Easter Egg many of them, but Ive only heard things that make me think its a rest stop abortion of a adaptation :shit::shit::shit:

Still gonna see it on Saturday, though.
