Should I go see it today?
I saw it.
It's obviously nothing like the book, and seeing as they want this to be the first of a trilogy, there is no real resolution to the zombie crisis. The 3D is unnecessary as well. Not much to see and the movie is already so dark the added darkening of the 3D makes it unwatchable.
I was actually kinda bored and you can figure out the entire plot as you go along. I'd have been just as happy waiting and renting it.
I want to see it but what is holding me back is that it's under 2 hours and is rated PG-13.
It seems like Walking Dead may be gorier.
go see it, its pretty cool
i saw it in 3d and that added to alot of the action scenes
Walking Dead is WAY gorier. The is an amputation and the amount of blood and gore could be shown on Sesame Street.
I'll pass . . . I have been working my way through The Sopranos seasons, now on the third. I saw them all before, but forgot many of the details and sub-storylines, so it's practically new to me.
I liked it...but...
It is not at all the mess that many are making it out to be, the story is linear, as opposed the the diary style of the book.
It is really good looking, although, I would recommend seeing it in 2d; as it was a "conversion" to 3d.
Not so much a horror film, as it is an action film with zombies.
And, I get the not gory part. The lack of gore certainly does not detract from the film.
Also, if you go see it, and have read the book, I would love to discus with you a part of the film that is changed from the book...not so much a bad change, but a major shift in the story.
It's ok. A cross between 28 Days Later and Contagion.
i'm looking forward to world war z.
i'm fine with less gore. i've gotten real good at averting my eyes just before the real nasty stuff happens. i'll turn down the sound too.
i don't need those visuals when i'm trying to sleep.
Yes...the "Contagion" similarity is strong.
When the Zombie's do get some screen time, they are very similar to the way they are described in the book.
And, they are cool looking, not like George Romero type Zombies.
I really wanted to see it but the wifey dragged me to the Sandra Bullock movie the Heat. She is scared of zombies.
Plants vs Zombies 2 comes out this summer, cocksuckers.
As funny as this picture
this is true
I was pretty ambivalent about it. It's not a bad movie per se, but it's definitely not a great one.
If you liked the previews you'll like the movie. There are definitely worse ways to spend 90 minutes.
Zombie stuff makes me think of Stevie's tattoo.
I'm reading the book. Only on page 15 but so far so good.
