To use a bargaining tool when the contract renew comes up? he must have a clause in his contract stopping them from doing it.

He will be offered a contract renewal...but it will be a huge cut from his current salary...more in the range between 20-30 million (with possible subscriber bonuses)..Bonuses :haha:

..My best guess is that he will probably renew but with the huge cut in pay, we'll be talking about a 2-day week radio show...or whole summers off..something to this effect..

Oh fuck no they won't, not for that reason but because they don't want investors to know how shitty everything is behind the scenes. Go look @ the SiriusXM facebook page, look through the comments, lotta pissed off current, former, and soon to be former customers.

Yeah, I doubt that they would ever want to let the world know the money they poured into Howard was a waste. Leaked bad ratings hurts them as much as Howard.

I also don't think leaked ratings would do anything in negotiations.

Twitter is my new go to for complaining . I said comcast sucks and I got a shitload of email requests to help me. I also did this with the IHEALTH app and they have emailed me daily since trying to make sure everything works now.

They can only verify online listeners, car radio's have no way to talk back to the system to show what channels are used.

When i called to cancel today the operator did mention that there will be a ratings system coming up. Oh yeah 11 dollars for 5 months is what they gave me. When he asked me why I want to cancel I told it saw because the HSS went south 3 years ago on purpose. He agreed and said they are getting a lot of complaints. I told him it coincides with the law suit and once again he agreed. :D

I've though about calling the advertising division posing as a small business owner interested in buying ad time.

I would think that they'd have to divulge specifics to justify the cost differences between channels?

I think you're right and that was always their selected model.I remember the days when Riley Martin would be moaning for a huge salary because of his high "numbers".Howard would tell him, repeatedly, that no one knows numbers in satellite. But they do seem to be able to measure phone calls, which became the source of Riley's delusions regarding his popularity and financial worth.

They could do it if they like. Think of it this way: Regular radio has no "tracking" of what people listen to and rely on surveys of a sample of people to determine ratings.

Sirius tried this back in. . . . '07? Nielsen did it.

At that time, Howard 100 and 101 were the top two for Sirius.

It was Arbitron. I think the .pdf is online somewhere.

    Edit:
    Found it.

I listen on-line...What's annoying is that for any on-line subscriber who's listening at the time, Sirius tracks not only what station you're listening but what other sites your going to ..similar to the internet tracking that facebook does...assholes.. it slows down my internet surfing and sometimes freezes my computer... that I have to constantly re-set my internet settings after listening on-line...

:hilarious: 1.21 million in 07 when the show was still somewhat listenable, now he's claiming 19 million?

    Nigga please.
