While doing my business at the bank, I looked in one of the offices and saw this sitting on The Vice-President of Loan's desk:

I am seriously thinking about changing banks based on this poor judgement.

Maybe he was using it as a door stop or paperweight.

Hadn't thought about that. It did seem to make a good paperweight.

To the contrary, I'd be applying for the largest loan I can get considering the head of the department seems to be pretty simple-minded, gullible and clinging to decades-old business paradigms.

theyre giving away the book as a premium for opening a savings account of $10 or more

or in keeping with the bank/ toaster tradition, you can choose this premium

Maybe they are given out as a penalty for early withdrawal.

Leave if this guy says that he pre-ordered that book and paid full price. Stay if he laughs at your question and eases your concern by replying that he bought it from the .99 cent bin at Barnes and Noble.

Maybe Booey came in applying for a loan and brought the book to show the loan officer he was a published author. And the loan officer kept the book to show his friends and coworkers the level of retard that just came in asking for a loan, in a "you won't BELIEVE who just tried to get a loan... LOLOLOL!"

He probably bought it out of the $1 bin. Which would make him a smart budget conscious consumer and a good banker.

I could see Big Foot leaving a copy of the book for a loan reference. "I know this guy, I do".
