Imagine you have an employee who whines about showing up. You give them extra days off. Then they turn around saying how someone else is better.

As much as I've loved the show, I'm starting to sympathize with Sirius.

If I wanted sued, I'd hire the Stork in a NY minute.

No pride in work output, litigious, sense of self-entitlement, inflated sense of worth, poor interpersonal skills, not a teamplayer, slothfulness, lack of commitment and enthusiasm, history of bad-mouthing current and past employers, an eroding skillset...,but otherwise, why not?

In his earlier days, yes. Now he has become a self important prima donna more interested in fame, a trophy wife and main stream acceptance. So no.

He is all over the place with the Radio show and the AGT. I wonder what is next he will be the spokesman for Kotex Maxi Pads? He resigned with Sirius complains all the time and puts in a 2 day week. Let's his moonlighting job at AGT dominate his show and doesn't put anything into it. If he is going to work for me he is going to work hard 5 days a week 8 hours. He can't do that, he feels that he is above it.

In pro sports the later contracts are often the bigger dollar ones. In many cases that last contract is a disaster as the former star player loses it. We may be a couple years into that now.

I would never hire someone who had a history of suing and fighting with their previous employers. Eventually they will burn you.

That's not how business works. You don't give Howard a cheque, and then he hands you over an even bigger cheque. Hiring anyone is a risk, the more you pay them the bigger the risk. (Howard being the highest paid person in radio also makes him the biggest risk) Howard almost bankrupted Sirius, and he would have if it wasn't for that pesky Charles Ergen.

Hell yes I'd hire him if I had money to burn and didn't mind taking a loss.

Id make sure I had his naming rights and the tapes. Then I'd have him cut about a hundred promos and run through the publicity tour during the launch event and then...

... I'd slap him with a gag order and keep paying him his salary. The rest of the contract would be me controlling the tapes to reflect an honest history and otherwise using the tapes and the prerecorded promos. Howard gets his money, I control his message.
