Since he's been so obsessed with snl this year, some staff think he may host this season.
I personally would think it would be so awful you'd have to watch.

The demographic of SNL skews to the young end of the 18-49 age group, Howard has proven via AGT that the he has little following in that age bracket. Most of the audience has no idea who he is. He'd never risk a ratings disaster like that. He licks Lorne Michael's taint because he wants his support in getting a talk show.

I stopped watching SNL when they let Norm MacDonald go, but I would watch Wiggy crash and burn on national TV in heartbeat!

Gee...I wonder if he'd do a skit on SNL where he was dressed up as a woman.

It would be such a scream!...funny funny FUNNY! ...

Anyhow...I'd be willing to settle for a short radio segment where he dared to take on all comers in an open discussion/debate.
    Yeah...I know...get in line..get in line.
...and for such a segment...just to "please" him...I'd be willing to do it with him dressed up as a woman....heck..I might even be willing
to also do it dressed up as a woman.
I'd probably wear my cute pink skirt and some nice cha cha heels.

    18-49 know who Stern is.
They might not care as much as 10 years ago (or more), but he is certainly a recognizable name/personality

Why would SNL put him on? The last two times the lazy stick figure appeared on Letterman, he rated way behind Leno, and I believe every other show in that time period. Either people no longer care about blacktop, or are not aware of him anymore. The only reason I could think of is maybe NBC would do it to help AGT out.

So, that would be three shows (counting his own) that the liar will pollute with his wig, caps, chin, and Ethiopian physique......

Prancing around in a dress on national television? He'd jump at the chance!

Problem is at the commercial break he probably wouldn't want to take it off.

I could poll 18-25 year olds in southern California and most wouldn't have more than a vague idea that he was a DJ when their parents were younger. Howard never had the celebrity here that he had in the tri state area, he struggled to stay in the top 10 in the ratings here even at his mid-late 90's peak.

Most host don't make a ratings dent on SNL
    Very few do
In 2013 they had Jim Parsons, John Goodman, Josh Hutcherson as host.

They asked him to be on but he wanted them to sign a contract for 30 million and he would only be on for 3 minutes.

He has no sense of humor so I don't think he would "get" any of the sketches. He would try his "shock jock tells the truth" technique of just stopping in the middle of sketch and saying stuff to the audience like "this is terrible, nobody is laughing" or "why did Lorne approve this sketch."
