    didnt goodyear have a big issue with faulty tires a few years back? maybe it was firestone

    I think Firestone has had several problems over the years. I was riding in a car in the late 70's, going about 80mph when the belt completely separated from the tire and fun times ensued. I think they were called (Firestone) 721's or 521's and there was soon a massive recall.

    Goodyear had a problem at a race a few years ago. I think it was a Nascar race. They could only get about 15 laps out of a set of tires.
