Jimmy Norton bitched about this...stand up comedians have to deal with the same shit.

That's why so many road comics who are just making ends meet get fucked by the IRS. If you can't afford a good accountant and you make a living doing gigs in a number of states, you gotta be very careful.

So the city makes money off of the ticket sales and then they double-dip and tax the players who played the game that they just made money off of.

Did I get that right?

Contributing to ticket sales, hotel sales, parking, local businesses and restaurants. Not enough!

    Government cannot fuck you enough.

This not a big deal. Most states allow a credit paid to other jurisdictions against their own state tax liability. In other words you can offset taxes paid to other States against your own. The end result is you aren't really pay that much tax, you are just spreading it around more.

    That's nuthin!

In Maryland, the liberals have installed a tax based on how much rain falls on your property. It starts July 1st.

Farmers are the ones polluting the Chesapeake Bay, but every homeowner and business will pay for....ummmm.....shit. We'll they'll just pay 'cause the money won't change a thing. Fucking liberals and their taxes.

The Chesapeake Bay is the liberal "cause" in the area. Think global warming times eleven. Because everyone uses too much fertilizer, the bay gets loaded with nitrogen, and algae blooms until it sucks up the extra oxygen, and fish die. Well, at least that's the way it used to be. Not so much these days. The Bay is actually doing very well following a campaign to stop nitrogen runoff. They've outlawed the old lawn fertilizer. Most studies show dramatic improvement in water quality ALREADY.

Here is the area feeding the Bay:

But of course only the people nearest to the Bay will be taxed. Gee, that makes sense, right?

Since Maryland is super liberal, basically every tax that is ever proposed is implemented. But this one has no real focus or meaning. The libs plan to enact "educational classes about the Bay" with the $15 billion they plan to take from every person and business in the area.

    I'm glad it's doing better.

Do they install a rain meter on your property? I'd put an umbrella over it.

Then when team owners want them to fork over money for new stadiums they cry like a bitch. They both make out like bandits on the working man.

No, they're just going to calculate the size of the property and you have to pay the new tax. It doesn't matter if you have nothing at all to do with the problem, you'll pay.......to not get it fixed.

How will collecting money in Baltimore affect people hundreds of miles away in other states? It won't. It's just another raping of the average citizen because they voted these idiots into office.

It's the same idiots who cry and scream about a new pipeline without having any freakin' idea that the nation is LOADED WITH PIPELINES right now.

Ever wonder how some states do so well....without any state income tax? And why others must constantly increase taxes and fail consistently?

This is not as bad as it seems. If you live in ny and work in ct, you are payroll taxed in both states. However, the tax you pay in ct is credited against your ny tax.

So they'll raise taxes...and more businesses will leave the state....and more people will be out of work and collecting unemployment....and they'll need to raise taxes to pay for that....and.....

I honestly believe this about liberals vs. conservatives: liberals are well-intentioned but cannot see three steps ahead to anticipate the downside results of their actions. And often the unintended consequences are far, far worse than the problem they're trying to correct.

They'll mock a state like Texas, but in reality Texas will be the first state to secede and prosper when the USA falls apart. California will collapse into total anarchy.
