The Cowboys are ready to welcome back Josh Brent. Josh, as you may recall, was convicted of manslaughter when he drove drunk, had an accident and killed his teammate and friend, Jerry Brown. They are ready to waive somebody to make a place for Josh. You know, they want to give him a second chance. He spent 179 days in jail. He's paid his dues to society. What NO ONE is talking about it this is his SECOND DUI conviction. He also failed two drug tests while he was out on bail. He was also caught trying to screw with his monitoring bracelet 22 times! Does this sound like someone who deserves a second chance? By my reckoning, it will be his 24th chance. Does this sound like someone who realizes his mistakes and deserves another chance? No, it sounds like a team with holes in its defense that doesn't give a shit that it is pissing on one of its own dead players by going after this guy. It's not like he is going to bring them to the playoffs. This makes me very angry. I feel like finding something else to do during the NFL season. Brent met with Goodell this week. My only hope is that the NFL has the good sense to ban this guy permanently.
