howard once asked robin to tell him when he stopped being funny like eddie

it was pretty prophetic actually,he described eddie like people are describing howard now

I suspect something awful happened on the set of Bowfinger. Murphy went down the path of Norbit, Meet Dave, etc. and Steve Martin went on to bad Pink Panther movies and banjo music.

(yes I know he's a good banjo player, but that's no excuse)

Eddie Murphy's greatest role in my humble opinion was Trading Places. I can watch that movie over and over and over again and laugh everytime.

    I agree. Good movie.
It didn't withstand the hands of time though. I loved it when it came out, but saw it not too long ago on cable and it didn't do much for me. Perhaps the buddy cop comedies got done to death since that movie came out and that took some of the shine off for me.

Yeah that was a great movie. He played a stand-up comedian who made fun of gays for year, then suddenly gave a lift to a cock in a frock.
    Then, the transvestite mysteriously dies.

Eddie hasn't been the same since the tranny thing happened. Since then he turned into a poor copy of Bill Cosby.
