The LA Rams are dumb as hell! They've just traded for the Titans first pick. They gave up numbers 15, 43, 45, & 76 overall this year Plus their first round pick next year. The titans raped them!
In a stunning move that shakes up the top of the draft and almost ensures that the Rams will be starting a rookie quarterback in 2016, theTitans have traded the No. 1 pick in the 2016NFL Draft to Los Angeles, both teams announced Thursday morning. The Rams, previously selecting at No. 15, are the lowest-picking team in NFL history to trade up to the No. 1 spot. The move, however, did not come cheap. It is essentially the Rams' karmic payback for fleecing the Redskins back in 2012 for a treasure trove of picks that led to the selection of Robert Griffin III. The terms are as follows: Tennessee gets: Rams' first-round pick (2016), two second-round picks (2016) third-round pick (2016), first-round pick (2017), third-round pick (2017). Rams get: Titans' first-overall pick (2016), fourth-round pick (2016), sixth-round pick (2016
This reminds me of the beginning of that movie Draft Day. Although, I don't think the Rams will have Kevin Costner to bail them out in the end.
I think it was a 1st and 3rd next year...unless they think they can flip that first pick or something...but there are no clear cut must have no. 1 picks this year...
There's this QB From North Dakota that everyone's hot on. But I can't imagine they'd give up all that for him. "Now that they own the first pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the Rams can have any quarterback they want. And they seem to have a preference. According to Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times, the Rams are “targeting“North Dakota State’s Carson Wentz in making the deal with the Titans for the top pick." http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ing-carson-wentz-now-that-they-have-top-pick/
All of that for Jared Goff? Yeesh... http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ieve-rams-will-draft-jared-goff-with-top-pick
They must want a QB and a particular one over another b/c the Browns picking second are going to have to take a QB.
Rams gonna Ram. insane and brilliant for the Titans - could work out as well for them as the Hershel Walker trade worked out of the Cowboys
If you can land a legit franchise QB then giving away what they did will well be worth it. You can't build a team without at least a serviceable QB. But I can't imagine Carson Wentz, Goff, or Lynch will ever truly be franchise guys. You never know though.
They gotta sell tix in a new town. God bless idiot teams and idiot owners like that. Makes life easier for all the other teams.
The San Diego Chargers will now have the #1 pick... Rams QB Browns QB Chargers laremy tunsil @BethSucks
