Thought I remembered something about 3 senior dogs looking to be adopted together so I did a Google search on their names (Ivan, Joshua, and Domino) and found several articles from last summer, including one from NSAL's website. They were adopted by someone from New Jersey in October, so they haven't lived their whole lives with one owner as Howard and Beth have been telling everyone. Clearly something happened that made the new owners return them to NSAL, wonder what it was and why the Sterns aren't being truthful about their background. Here's an excerpt from the NSAL website http://www.animalleague.org/adopt-a-pet/dogs/adopt/featured-pet-ivanjoshuadomina.html

Our Texas Trio Has Been Adopted!

Domino, Joshua and Ivan enjoy some quality time in their “office” while they wait for their hero adopter to bring them home.

This past June, we told you the story of Ivan, Joshua and Domino, three senior dogs who had spent their entire lives together in Texas with a loving adopter. When she moved to an assisted living facility, we took in the trio through our Safe Haven Surviving Pet Care program and have been working tirelessly ever since to find them a home where they could stay together.

We knew it would be a challenge to find someone willing to adopt three dogs, especially when they are over 10 years old. We posted their story on our website and Facebook page, and even put posters up in our adoption headquarters. But for nearly five months, no one stepped forward.

Of course, while Ivan, Joshua and Domino were in our care, they were treated as if they were our own beloved pets, and we all fell for these sweet dogs. They lived cage free in one of our larger managers’ offices, where their human “office mates” showered them with affection. During their numerous daily walks around our campus, they became favorites of our staff, and they relished their regular romps in our dog park.

But there’s no doubt that a home environment is the best place for every animal, and we knew that the right adopter was out there for our terrific Texas trio. We were in the midst of making plans to place Ivan, Joshua and Domino in a loving foster home when their perfect match arrived at our doors!

In October, New Jersey couple Suzanne and Keith, along with their teenage daughter Ashley, adopted this canine family, increasing their pet-loving household to seven—two cats and, now, five dogs!

Kristine Furnari, Kennel Manager at North Shore Animal League America, is thrilled that Ivan, Joshua and Domino were adopted as a family. “They’re doing great in their new home,” she says. “They have already made themselves very comfortable and are even rolling on their backs when playing with the family’s other two dogs. I’m very grateful that we found adopters like Suzanne and her family to open up their home to these three great companions!”

Where you actually expecting honesty from Howard??? It's a commercial for the NSAL pure and simple. Some sucker will call the NSAL and ask to adopt those poor homeless animals. Then when they are told that they were already adopted they get a pitch to make a donation $$$.

Honesty is never an option for the wigged wonder.

Also, don't charities raising money show what they have raised so far? I always see those thermometer things showing how close they are to the goal amount.

    Here's the write-up from howardstern.com:

BETH HAS 3 ADULT DOGS FOR YOU!

North Shore Animal League is looking for a perfect home for 3 great senior dogs. Their owner went into a nursing home and was heartbroken that she could no longer care for them. She loved these 3 dogs so much that she made sure they would be taken care of by North Shore Animal League until they were placed into a loving home.. Beth spent the day yesterday with these dogs and fell madly in love with them! Housebroken and so loving and friendly- ALL 3 !!!!!

Actually the story is that Howard and Beth are trying to get the dogs adopted NOW, saying that they lived their whole lives with ONE owner. Since the NSAL story says they were adopted by a family in October 2013, that's completely false.

Don't listen to a woman who says she was a European model but has not one shred of evidence.

The original owner was the one who went into the nursing home, wonder why the new owner returned them to NSAL and why Howard and Beth are lying about it. They clearly know the dogs DIDN'T spend their whole lives with ONE owner, the Google search brought up photos of Beth posing with the dogs last summer.

Hard to tell what's really going on but the Sterns are clearly lying. Either the dogs were adopted by someone in October and returned or it's some sort of scam.

Nice catch - the NSAL and the Sterns are not known for their honesty, but one would expect that the Animal League would at least delete the page which showed the adoption from 2013.
