Now, did Hein think of that all himself or did Buchwald script it for him.

The only thing Howard is a natural for these days is retirement.

Yes. Yes, that makes eminent sense. A man who appears to have abandoned all pretenses to having a writing staff (or a work ethic) is now going to "wing it" on a nightly, tightly-produced program that relies ALMOST ENTIRELY on talented writers working in coordination with a host who clearly READS THE MATERIAL before delivery.

It's official: I hate Howard as much as i hate Beth. In fact, I hate Beth less because she only takes Howard's money, whereas I was a SIRIUS subscriber through 2012 and I want my money back.

Howie's age and appearance is perfect for the comedy central demo, you have to give him that. He is almost like Tosh's twin bro.

First of all, no way Howard could do a show like that 4 days a week. Secondly, the amount of money he makes on Sirius and on AGT is way, way,way more than anything they could ever offer him at Comedy Central. No way Howard would ever take anything less than what makes now to work there. Also...he's too old.

    I pray for this ....

Not because I think he could do it.

Because I know he would be exposed for the fraud he is.

Did he say that in the show?
Wow they are so desperate for buzz.
It's funny, if Howard doesn't sign a new contract, which of course he will, will the news of him retiring get any press like John Stewart?
Jon Stewart announcing his retirement in the same period Wiggy might of considered announcing his retirement is like dying on the same day as Paul Walker.
Howard could never host the Daily Show, he doesn't take a stand on anything nor can his thin skinned ego do satire.

I'm sure some local stations would put him back on terrestrial radio, but at a severe discount.

I would love to see him get on that show, and watch as the ratings sink. Stewart is pulling in 2.5 million viewers a night I think, and Stern doesn't even do that much cumulative in a week.

Howie needs to stop "floating" these balloons out there like he has done his whole career. He is NEVER going to host The Tonight Show, or a CNN show, or get a FOX show, or be a judge on American Idol, or star opposite an A-List actor in a movie, or produce movies, or host The Daily Show. Stern is doing the best he will ever do...which is host a "broken down" radio show 3 days a week, and be a judge on a summer fill-in show with sagging ratings. He will never do better than that, so he needs to accept fact....his or Buchwald's phone isn't ringing much these days.

Howard retiring will get the same buzz he got when he re-signed in 2010. ZERO.

He'll want it that way because otherwise it will do nothing but stress how small and insignificant the size of his audience is.
