A little help from her (famous) friends: Kelly Rutherford is joined by Christie Brinkley to host the Inaugural Benefit For The Children's Justice Campaign By Carolyn Hiblen for MailOnline Published: 03:38 GMT, 17 August 2014 Amid her very painful and public child custody battle, Kelly Rutherford plastered on a happy smile as she hosted the Inaugural Benefit For The Children's Justice Campaign in the Hamptons on Saturday. Raising much-needed funds and awareness for her non-profit organisation, which helps other parents facing similar legal struggles with the US Family Court System, the former Gossip Girl star was joined by a number of high-profile friends at the private Water Mill residence. Friend and fellow mother Christie Brinkley co-hosted the event, along with Samantha Yanks, Lauren London, Patrice Lenowitz and Mashonda Tifrere, with the model and actress proud to lend her support to such a worthy cause. With the doting mom eager to spend as much time as she possibly can with her children, who reside primarily with their father in France and Monaco and attend school there, she filed for bankruptcy in June 2013, citing $2 million in debts due to legal fees and the endless international travel. 'Basically everything I make goes to travelling,' she says, adding that she's travelled '60 times back and forth' since August 2012.
