I have a (non-working)) Victor Gramophone and a collection of 78 rpm records passed down through my father's side of the family, stuff like Enrico Caruso and early Louis Armstrong.

    So do I.
After JFK was assassinated Vaughn Meador couldn't find work.
He was a guy who sounded like JFK - he wasn't an actor.
He went broke, joined a cult, took too much LSD and pretty much blew the rest of his life away.
    Fun story.

I had a bunch of Led Zeppelin bootlegs, good ones too. It seems that I lost custody of those in the divorce, along with almost everything else.

One that I did manage to hang on to, was Children of the Sun, by Billy Thorpe. The title track was a hit for about 5 minutes and then they disappeared, at least in my town. The album wasn't easy to find before the creation of the internet. They hit the bargain bin, followed quickly by the trash bin. I found a signed one that they wanted $100 for, but I certainly didn't want it that bad. I finally found it in Toronto, at Sam the Record Man, for $3 Canadian.

i knew a gal who had the Beatles album where they were covered in butcher shop meat and blood. This was 1964-65 It was pulled and another photo was used. That album is supposed to be worth $25,000 ...which goes to show you Whiteys got too much money.
