i'm all in. between my wife and i we order stuff often. about a month or so ago we started watching some of the tv shows. Mrs Maisel was great, Jack Ryan, The Boys and Fleabag were very good. Carnival Row was ok. still have some more to try.
I get it as a free perk from work.
The living room tv and bedroom projector are fed from Fire boxes.
Prime does have better mainstream movie selections than Netflix.
i use amazon constantly, it is so much easier than going to the store and searching for stuff. i read reviews a lot too, i realize some are fake but it is still better than just buying whatever is on the shelf at the store.
i watch a lot of prime video. i don't think they've had a really great show yet but am looking forward to the next jack ryan and the final season of man in the high castle.
i have amazon echo devices all through my house. google home might be better but they are usually more expensive since amazon has great sales on their devices.
Regarding original programming on Amazon, "The Boys" was a fantastic 5-star show, and I normally am disgusted by and refuse to watch superhero movies/shows due to their oversaturation and lack of creativity/originality. "The Boys" broke the mold when it comes to superhero shows. Another good original show is "Goliath" starring Billy Bob Thornton playing a lawyer.
I do have an echo Dot and I do like using Alexa for a few things mostly for listening to CNN and MSNBC on Tune in radio.
10 bucks a month. They have original series and movies and plenty of good series to choose from. Their menu system sucks. But there is quality on there.
Not to mention prime gets you the prime music app and access to e books too plus free 2 day shipping.
I'll pay the 10 bucks.
Just give your wife your password and email and she can log in to yours.
I would disagree big time. Their originals are mostly shitty to average imo. Netflix way better original content. And for every one Amazon series there are 6 Netflix series. Hard to compare.
It was cheaper to me to get free shipping for over $35 and pay for shipping when I needed it faster. Once I got off of prime (had a free membership), I ended up doing more comparison shopping and tended to get better prices from eBay and Best Buy.
Most of the shows suck.
I loved Mrs Maisel! Bosch is probably my fave, Amazon prime is well worth the money.
i can't wait for season 3 of Mrs Maisel which will be this december. i remember seeing where the show won a lot of emmys last year and now i know why. there's no way you can not like the lead actress. she's perfect in the role.
20+ packages a week... I don't watch much Prime video (although I should)...but worth the money for how much I use Prime.
Savings also come from eliminating travel time (and also not spending gas money) going on a brick and mortar store hunt trying to locate items I'm looking for.
Soon brick and mortar will be dead. Empty buildings that eventually turn back into fields. Then...the internet breaks.....everyone is fucked.
Full disclosure, I have Prime and love it.
Just watching a rocky marathon on Prime. They have em all.
Is that a Penn reel ?
Outfitted about 15 rods offshore/ inshore fresh/salt with Penn battle and Fierce reels spooled with braid. If you know what you need Amazon is hands down the best and cheapest place to get line and reels. I run all Penn reels all of them came from Amazon .....90 bucks for a Penn battle reel on Amazon or a 129 at Bass pro or Cabela's . Just bought a Penn Rampage casting Rod and Fathom 2 speed reel earlier this year .
Braid line ....Amazon
Don't even waste my time running to brick and mortars only to find it sold out or not carried .....my prime membership is worth it in gas and aggravation fees alone .
Agree 100%! It’s a Penn battle 2 reel with a 10’ 6” off brand $50 Amazon special. Light as a feather, going to use it for casting lures in the surf. Just ordered a St Croix 10’ 6” triumph and a Penn Spinfisher for casting bait. Will be slaying the stripers this fall!
Even without prime, most orders arrive within 2 days.
You're going to love that Penn battle reel . All mine are on Shakespeare Ugly Sticks, except the Fathom, put that on a Penn rampage offshore 80-100 lb offshore casting rod, broke it in on a 5 ft nurse shark
